Thoughts

Daye Amaso, i remember you when i was little as we lived in Rumuibekwe housing estate in port Harcourt , Nigeria. you were so protective to all that came your way especially to your sisters and you were full of joy and laughter and Humility . i was so young but i could see all that in you then, as your parents brought you up in strict and God fearing ways-that i remember vividly. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace with your smiles beaming with pride for eternity. Duabo Denni-Fiberesima

Daye (Dee) Amaso, my friend, LC member (those who know, know), soft hearted teddy bear. We met as Jambites in Uni and were part of a tight knit group of like-minded people, I think Dee was the one who coined my nickname. I have a myriad of stories, memories and laugh-out-loud moments in my treasure trove relating to Dee, I’ll keep those for another day, when I get together with friends to raise a glass to his memory. He was kind, absolutely hilarious, mischievous, protective, shy (which he hid with banter), as much as he was the life and soul of the party, he was a very private person. Dee didn’t judge you, he was a live and let live guy. He was creative, artistic, a nifty dancer (again those who know, know). We would talk and promise to visit each other certain we had all the time in the world – so wrong. The news is unexpected but I’m glad we had the time we had. You’ve left a void in the life of your family and friends, you’re missed. Here’s to you Dee, love you

Oh death who can questions you?Daye I thought it was all over after the burial of Daddy, but you came looking for me in London, that's makes me very proud having a brother like you. My sister in-law and the family were so please to meet with you. God been so kind I was able to visit you in Cardiff that makes me very happy, the fun we had together as a family and the name you always call me (Amazing Grace) will ever remain in my heart. It's so painful to say good night at this time. I love you Daye.Grace.
